18 Summers. That’s all we get before our little birdies leave the nest, so why not make every Summer a purposeful one. Full of fun family memories that, depending on how old your kids are, they likely won’t remember but you can document with photos. #reallife
Now that we have a school age kiddo, Summer is totally different. The day after school lets out it’s like an hourglass is flipped and we have to jam pack as much activity in to two and a half months as possible. Because I’m a list maker, I thought it would make the most sense to put together a Summer bucket list that’s not only educational and fulfilling but also attainable and realistic. Ours focuses on outdoor/nature based activities (duh!) with some random acts of kindness thrown in for good measure. Our kids are 6 and 3, so I wanted to be sure the things on the list were appropriate for both of them to be able to do. I challenge you to create your own list for your family as a great way to remind yourselves to try new things, explore new places and make memories. You can use ours as a template and modify based on your children’s ages, interests and abilities.
