Northside Park

September 12, 2017 By Becca Leave a Comment

The park of all parks. Located in North Ocean City, MD, Northside Park has it all. Playground, water, walking paths, exercise area, fishing pier, and more. If you are ever spending some time at the beach take a ride a few more miles south to check out this gem. Driving down the main drag in Ocean City, you’d never know this place was there. Located right on the bay, you get a beachy park experience complete with saltwater creatures aplenty!

You could spend all day here if you plan it right. Bring your crabbing gear and hang out at the pier, or just check out other people’s catches like we dd. The water is shallow here so you can actually spot creatures just below the surface, especially if you’ve got polarized sunglasses on.

We walked a nice loop on the paved, stroller friendly, trail and spent quite a bit of time at the huge playground. There is a port-a-potty conveniently located right next to it for all those tiny bladders. We saw tons of tiny jellyfish from the bridge and of course hid some painted rocks while we were there. All in all, an excellent park with tons to see and do.

Everywhere you look there are piles of trash, graffiti, and dilapidated buildings. Philly has more than its' fair share of those things BUT it … [Read More...]
