Glasgow park is the epitome of playground and park perfection.
Huge colorful playsets, squishy astroturf, swings galore. What more could you ask for?
How about bathrooms, a dog park, a paved pathway, nature trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, pavilions, a skate park, plenty of open space to play AND Pokémon galore!!! This park seriously has it all.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, I am offering you an exclusive sneak peek of a NEW sensory playground area! Construction was being done while we were there and it looks like it is close to completion with an expected opening date in August.
It is going to take several trips for us to be able to experience all 300 acres of Glasgow Park. Naturally, my kids usually want to head straight for the playground and could spend the entire time there so even though we’ve visited the park multiple times, we haven’t got to see all it has to offer yet. What I did notice is that there are zillions of people there, particularly exercising on the nearly 3 mile long paved pathway. It makes for a nice smooth ride in a stroller, especially if you are a jogger.
Personally, I like to take the path less traveled, so when I saw this trail in the woods I immediately wanted to veer off and check it out. We were limited on time though, so I couldn’t take it all the way through to see where it ended up, but I definitely will another time.
Across from the playground parking area you will find the Born Learning Trail, which I LOVED! The messages on the signs lining this section of the trail fit perfectly with my blog goals so if you go there, take a minute to read them and have your kids do the activities!
