Wyoming Park

February 21, 2017 By Becca 2 Comments

You know you’re in a good place when the first sound you hear upon arrival is an eagle calling.

Wyoming Park may be small but it has a lot to offer. Picnic tables, playground equipment, pavillion, panoramic views of Wyoming Lake and did I mention there’s a porta-potty?

We’ve been stopping by here for a few years now, but O hasn’t gotten to go yet so we visited for some one on one time while D went to work with Daddy. He had a blast going back and forth between the two playgrounds and watching all the birds in the water.

Since Fifer Orchards is right around the corner, you can double up on fun by swinging by there for some apple cider doughnuts after. One of my favorite places to get breakfasts, Haas’, is also seconds away from the park so there’s tons of options to have a fun family day in the area.

What kind of mental picture do you get when you think of Philadelphia? Big cities are such a juxtaposition between beauty and filth in my personal opinion. Everywhere you look there are piles of trash, graffiti, and dilapidated buildings. Philly has more than its' fair share of those things BUT it … [Read More...]
